We don't pay monthly fees to play GW.
Extra storage is an optional purchase.
$10.00 isn't that much.

Yep, I won't spend anymore real world monies on this game. It's broken beyond belief and they want us to invest money in it? Not gonna happen as far as I'm concerned.

10$ is not much, and people ARE going to buy it.
And why god, oh why do you need that many storage tabs!?!?
If you want to save space SELL stuff!
No need to keep on holding into stuff you wont use.
Even if your heroes had inventory you would complain that you needed more space to keep your crap!
Quit beeing a spoiled girl and start THINKING what you need and what you dont need.
Some people....

EDIT:
hahahahahaha
only 20% agree with you!

I couldn't care less. Never needed extra storage before, never will need it in future.

Too much QQ about storage.

That's an important point that needs to be emphasized here. Don't expect them to just GIVE people the equipment bag.
1. Be prepared to pay for the actual bag using in-game gold, just like getting bags from the merchant now. I suspect that they may be added to the quartermasters et.al. who trade things for Monestary Credits and stuff like that.

2. Be prepared for having the cost for a 20 slot bag to command a pretty penny.

3. Be prepared for the QQ thread that gets started here and on other fan sites about that!

THANK YOU WHOEVER ADDEd THE POLL!!!

I've gone 4 years without them.. so no they wont be getting my money.. $10 is a bit much imo.. If they would have released this 2 years ago.. I prolly would have bought a couple. But as it stands now.. I rarely play anymore, so dont need the space to hold junk.

/signed for lower price.

$10 per tab is just way too much, maybe for the whole thing. I have 2 computers and running GW on both is easy, I have a 2nd mule account so trading is simple, and a character runs 45 spots, just the math precludes $10 for a tab.

What I wanted was a mat like storage for dye and stackable runes, that would have help more that gouging tabs.

They're CHARGING US for this update? Man, Anet has completely sold out. Let me think.... I can shell out $10 and get whole storage tab, or go and drop $15 on a complete and innovative game like Braid. Braid it is then! I bought Guild Wars because it didn't have a monthly fee. If they're just going to start hiding the fee in microtransactions, I might as well not get Guild Wars 2 either. Thanks for making the decision easy Anet.

Alone, it really isn't too outrageous. Not that starting to nickle and dime to death (or Alexander Hamilton to death as the case may be) the remaining population is good. But, it certianly is the last bit of straw that snapped this camel's spine.

the price is outrageous!
its the failure of this business model. price of a full campagin with huge ton of content, and including 2+ charslots and a xunlai tab is fair. This is like 300-5000% overpriced, a blatant robbery, and a trap, i'm sad to see many people fall into.

Boycotr it now, or suffer from a new horror business model in the future!

this update is a test for the communitt - pass it (overpay) and you'll kill the old good business model. GW2 may become heavily based on buyimg tiny and extremelly overpriced addons!

You can buy an extra account and still be less expensive than buying the extra storage panes... just not worth it imho.

Many moons ago, I was taught the one of the applications of quadratic functions (the ones that graph like a 'U', for those that are sketchy on the algebra). Companies will use it to model how much to charge and how much they can make from a product.

Say it costs bill $.50 to produce, package, and market a candy bar. If he sold them for $.55, he would be making a profit on each unit, albeit a small one, although he would probably sell a lot of them. If he sold them for $100, he would make a huge profit on each candy bar, but probably wouldn't sell very many.

The point is, there is the peak of the 'U' (imagine it upside down) where you maximize your profits and the amount you sell. I would argue that the price Anet is charging for these slots is on the other side of that, but we'll have to wait and see. Since they are competing with other products (character slots, accounts), I think they would be wise to market it differently and charge accordingly.

As for how much accounts cost, that depends on what you want. I got mine at a Xmas clearance at Best Buy for $10 a piece (picked up three). They are just Prophecies, and I got them solely for Mules and Mini farming. XTH wasn't out at the time. Since I can barely play all the toons I have on my main account, I see no reason to add other campaigns to them. So it shouldn't cost much to add more accounts, just look for single campaigns (Proph, F, NF)

You don't gain direct advantage above other players with more storage space so I'm fully ok with this, and come on - Anet is game company, not some pro-players martyrs who will do everything for free. They need money to run business and for GW development so I probably even buy one of these.
